It is Okay to Cry

Do you want to reach your full potential? Then you must not be afraid or ashamed to cry. There is a time for everything under the sun, and this includes crying.

Strong people cry and show their emotions because they don’t pretend. Those who cry are honest enough to accept that they are pain and are hurting. On the other hand, pretending and putting up a face is for those who are not strong enough to admit that they have a need.

If you were raised and told not to cry, you have been deceived. Champions cry not out of frustration, or victimhood, they cry because they accept their humanity. Those who are human enough connect with other humans and bring a lot of hope and healing. People are put off by falsehood and pretense.

The shortest verse in the Bible is:

 Jesus wept! John 11:35

As the story goes, Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha, died, and Jesus showed up four days later. He came late intentionally because He had the power to raise Lazarus from the dead, yet before doing that Jesus wept, because He was both God and man. His weeping was prompted by that of Mary and her sister. There is something powerful when we suffer with those who are suffering and meet them where they are.

Here is another great worrier that wept. We are talking of David who defeated Goliath, the giant. The story goes as follows:

Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire,  and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive.  Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 1 Samuel 30:1-4

When was the last time you cried? Do you cry often?

Stop holding up the pressure and let it go through crying. Remember the strong cry!

Counting your blessings is a must for anybody who wants to reach their full potential. Will you do that daily?

The IEM APPROACH is a holistic way of life; the physical and spiritual must be in synergy for real, lasting, and sustainable success.
