My thoughts now are on my father and the profound impact his life has on me. Out of all the gazillion lessons he modeled before us, one stands out. He was there for us. My father made it a point of duty to be at home and only traveled when it was extremely necessary. He would put off leaving the family as much as possible. The few times he traveled he was never gone for a long time.
This meant that he was there when we needed him most. Being there all the time meant that he had to give up some other things. The sacrifices he made to make sure that he gave us the time that we needed has paid off immensely. We are all successful professionals and are modeling what he taught us to our own kids.
The presence of a father in the home is one of the most important catalysts that bring emotional and psychological stability. Growing up as a kid, the presence of my father meant a lot to me and I will be forever grateful that he prioritized above all other things. This was demonstrated not just talked about. Fathers still matter because they have the ability to bless their children, “For the power of life and death lies in the tongue.” Fathers can choose to speak life upon their children and their children will flourish.
Above all the prayer of a father over their children achieves great results. My father prayed for us and still prays for us daily. This is one of the things that brings great joy in my heart. It has been said that “Prayer is the Master key.” I believe praying fathers will have an eternal impact on their children and the entire universe. Happy Father’s day to all the Fathers, Grand Fathers, Great Grand Fathers, and Great, Great, Great Grand Fathers.
