How badly do you want it?

This morning, I got up to the sound of raining falling on my roof. This was not the music I wanted to hear so early in the morning. A part of me immediately freaked out. This is the pleasure-seeking part. That part of me that does not want any discomfort. It is the part that is afraid to get wet in the morning and would rather sleep in. I had an internal dialogue about what course of action to take. It was dark, wet and cold outside and the rain was still falling. As all these thoughts were running through my mind, we gathered for our morning devotion and read this proverb: He who loves pleasure will be a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.
